First construction stage of electronic engineering plant «Elion» production building was finished. There was begun the construction of Scientific Research Institute of Precise Technologies with plant «Angstrem» and other enterprises of microelectronics.

The first cinema «Electron» was opened

The first cinema «Electron» was opened in Zelenograd. In 1972 the second state-of-the-art cinema «Era» was opened.

The children's polyclinic was put into operation
The children's polyclinic was put into operation. On the 22nd of January the city hospital (therapeutics department and children's department of 50 beds each) began working. Opening of maternity home and well-woman clinic. The main hospital building was put into operation in 1968. New therapeutics building was constructed in 1979.

 The building of Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics was put into operation. The enterprise created technologies and began production of the first series of semiconductor microcircuits «Irtysh» (differential pair of transistors), «Logika» (transistor-diode logic, «Microvatt» (resistor transistor logic).

Plant «Angstrem» was put into operation

Buildings of plant «Angstrem», the country's first specialised plant on microcircuits production, were put into operation.

Plant «Micron» was established on the basis of Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics
The Ministry of Electronic Industry established plant «Micron» at Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics. In September of the same year the foundation of the plant was laid.
1970 year
Central Avenue acquired a modern look

In early 70s Central Avenue acquired a modern look. High buildings along the Avenue are combined with population service and trade centers such as «Detskiy Mir», manufacturer's shop «Ocean», citizens' services center «Dom Byta», shop «Tovary Dlya Doma» and others.

Opening of red-brick unique architecture complex of MIET

Opening of unique complex of red-brick buildings of Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (architecturors F.A.Novikov, G.E.Saevich).

New water pipe-line was put into operation

Water was delivered to Zelenograd through new water pipe-line from Moscow.
