Shokin Alexander Ivanovich (1909-1988) is one of the founders of Russian microelectronics. Minister of electronic industry of USSR(1965-1985). Founder of the All-Soviet Union microelectronics enter in Zelenograd (his bronze bust is installed at MIET university). Member of CPSU Central Committee (since 1966). Twice-awarded Hero of Socialist Labour (1975, 1979). Laureate of the state prize of the USSR (1952, 1953).

A memorial plaque was installed at the entrance to JSC “Angstrem” to commemorate a 100th jubilee of A. Shokin. The ceremony started by the words of welcome from the president of JSC “Angstrem n.a. A. I. Shokin” V. Dshkhunyan, the head of the main science and technology board of the Ministry of electronic industry in the 70-80 ies, current professor of MATI names after Tsiolkovskiy V. Proleyko.

The Prefecture rewarded the veterans of electronic industry with medals.
