Research Institute of Precision Engineering launch the production of “Micro” radio set
Due to the thin-film processing it became the first device of such kind for mass production in the USSR. The studies have been initiated to cover the technology as well as the construction of “Tropa” integrated circuits.

Ministry of Electronic Industry established
Under the decree of the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR the State Committee for Electronic Industry was transformed to the Ministry of Electronic Industry. A. Shokin was appointed its minister.

Transistor «Ploskost» was produced

In the Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics there was created technology and begun production of the first planar elements — transistor «Ploskost».

The first hybrid microcircuits were produced

At the enterprises of Scientific Research Institute of Precise Technology and «Angstrem» there were created and implemented technologies of the then state-of-the-art hybrid microcircuits as well as begun their production. On the basis of hybrid technology miniature radio «Mayak», «Micro», «Era» were produced.

1966 year
The building of Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics was put into operation

 The building of Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics was put into operation. The enterprise created technologies and began production of the first series of semiconductor microcircuits «Irtysh» (differential pair of transistors), «Logika» (transistor-diode logic, «Microvatt» (resistor transistor logic).

1966 year
Plant «Angstrem» was put into operation

Buildings of plant «Angstrem», the country's first specialised plant on microcircuits production, were put into operation.

1967 year
Plant «Micron» was established on the basis of Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics
The Ministry of Electronic Industry established plant «Micron» at Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics. In September of the same year the foundation of the plant was laid.

Development of the first native basic technological process on the ground of p-n junction isolation

In Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics there was established the first native basic technological process on the ground of p-n junction isolation as the base for productive planar microelectronic technology.

1968 year
Development and production of the first 4 large-use digital and linear integrated circuits
Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics developed and produced first 4 large-use digital and linear integrated circuits including circuits of later popular series TTL (series 155) that became base for fullfilment of the State program aimed at creating and equipping all branches of national industries with families of electronic machines of unified computer system and small-scale computers. The output in 1968 was 100 000 microcircuits. In 1970   the plant was put into operation and mass production of state-of-the-start semiconductor microcircuits was begun.

Serious testing of Zelenograd-made microcircuit was held during the flights of automatic space stations

Serious testing of Zelenograd-made microcircuit was held during the flights of automatic space stations «Luna-16» (taking of moon soil and returning to the Earth) and Luna-17 (with apparatus «Lunokhod-1»). Samples of microcircuits that were in space are kept in the museum of the plant «Angstrem».

1973 year - 1976 year
Development of universal mini electronic computing machine «Elektronika NC-1»

Using technological base of Scientific Research Instititute of Precise Technology with plant «Angstrem» Zelenograd enterprises  developed universal mini electronic computing machine «Elektronika NC-1» based on integrated circuit with microprogram control. Production of 20-30 sets of electronic computing machines per year satisfied the demand during 10 years.

1973 year
The first Russian electronic microcalculator «Elektronika VZ-4» was produced

Microelectronic enterprises tested and implemented native technology of large-scale integrated circuits production. On the basis of these circuits Scientific Research Instititute of Precise Technology with plant «Angstrem» produced first Russian electronic microcalculator «Elektronika VZ-4».

1976 year - 1979 year
Development and production of original large-scale integration microprocessor of CMOS technology (Ê-587)
Original large-scale integration microprocessor of CMOS technology (Ê-587) was developed and produced (Ê-587) using technological base of Scientific Research Institute of Precise Technology with the plant «Angstrem». Set of large-scale integration circuits (LSI) became the basis for the range of micro electronic computing machines «Elektronika NC-02», «Elektronika NC-03», «Elektronika NC-04» of general purpose. More than a thousand of such machines were produced at the enterprises of the «Scientific center». On the basis of these machines systems for NC-machinery and switching unit of telegraphic messages «Elektronika NC-32» were created at that time. The mentioned switching units became the basis for upgrading telegraphic communication centers and were installed in more than 90 cities of Russian and the near abroad. In 1978-1979 on the basis of the universal set of large-scale integration K587 there was developed the system for NC-machinery «Elektronika NC-31». Its mass production was organised at the plant «Diffusion» (city of Smolensk). From 1979 to 1991 there were produced about 80 thousand of such systems that were widely used at this country's machine plants for assembling lathe and milling machines.
1977 year
Creation of the first native isoplanar technology

Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Technology created the first native isoplanar technology as the basis for developments and production of integrated circuits of the future.
